FAQs
How does online psychotherapy work, and is it secure?
All of my therapy sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Because my practice is 100% telehealth, you can participate in sessions from the privacy and comfort of your own home. This flexibility makes it easier for motivated adults to consistently show up and do the work required to reach their full potential.
I don't live in Los Angeles. Can we still work together?
Absolutely. While my primary service area is rooted in Los Angeles, my licensing allows me to provide telehealth psychotherapy to any adult resident physically located in the states of California or Louisiana at the time of our sessions.
Do you offer counseling for teenagers or children?
No, my practice is exclusively dedicated to adults and couples. I focus entirely on mature individuals and partners who are navigating complex life transitions, working through grief, or looking to overcome resistance to their next phase of life.
What are the benefits of seeing a private pay therapist?
As a private pay therapist, our work is entirely focused on your growth and healing, rather than the constraints or session limits often dictated by insurance companies. This model allows for the highest level of privacy and gives us the freedom to utilize the exact therapeutic approaches—such as CBT, DBT, Gestalt, and Trauma work—that will best serve your journey.
What can I expect during our first session?
Your first session is about establishing a compassionate, open, and connected environment. We will discuss the current challenges you are facing, your history, and your goals for therapy. I firmly believe that healing is not just about listening; it's about being heard and directly addressing what holds you back. The first session sets the foundation for that work.
How often will we meet for therapy?
For most clients experiencing difficulty with a transition from one stage of life to the next, I recommend meeting weekly. This consistency helps build momentum, fosters a strong therapeutic connection, and provides the steady support needed to navigate your phase of life effectively.
Do you assign "homework" between sessions?
Because I work with individuals and couples who are highly motivated to do the work, I often suggest reflections or practical exercises to practice between our meetings. Reaching your full potential in all areas of your life requires integrating the insights gained during our telehealth sessions into your everyday routines.
